In April 2013 we got inspired to run the London Marathon. What started as a vision has become dedication and part of our lives.

We have started with little steps to prepare for the big day and have already managed a 10K and half-marathon. Our training knows no borders, where we go, our trainers go - GB, Germany, Iran, Italy and Russia and soon France for another half-marathon.

But, this journey is not (just) about us, it’s about raising funds for the charity we both work for and which is so close to our hearts - The Art Room. 

The Art Room is an Oxford based charity which offers art as therapy to children and young people who experience difficulty in mainstream education. It offers them a chance to spend special time away, to feel safe and valued in a caring environment where the power of art allows them to engage positively and build self-esteem.  

You can become part of our journey by donating on this page as little or as much as you can.

To give you an idea what your donation can do:

£3 buys a pot of paint for an Art Room session.
£5 buys 2 packs of coloured pencils.
£10 buys a chair that a child would decorate and take home.
£20 buys breakfast for a group of children in an Art Room session.
£35 pays for one art as therapy session for one child.
£50 buys 5 clocks for children to decorate and take home.
