Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

What I'm setting myself the challenge of doing is next autumn I hope to be able to compete in a British Eventing One Day event . For those non horsey friends of mine that involves a dressage test ( horse and rider are expected to perform from memory a series of predetermined movements in a pretty fashion ! ) jump a round of show jumps without annihilating them and lastly ride at speed across open country jumping various obstacles inc water and both coming home intact and alive. That might sound pretty simple and something that a lot of horsey folks do all the time . Not this one . Believe me when I say that this will be a mammoth challenge for me . At the moment even riding my horse out on the roads by myself is cause for a stiff drink.

Why in heck I am bothering then some would say ? Good question. Well we need to #kickcancersbutt and I've been very much #inspiredbyhannah.

I've had and continue to have cancer affect my life too much. I had breast cancer myself two years ago and my amazing brother is continuing to battle with cancer and it's effects. Both of us diagnosed in our early 40's. This challenge will really help me move on with my own life and health and if / when I succeed it will really be an AMAZING achievement for me.

Hannah Frances was amazing in her courage and selflessness in her strive to make a difference . An inspiration to very many people and myself and I would like to support the charity she set up-  Willberry Wonder Pony.
