Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just-giving page.

In October 2014 I will be attempting my biggest challenge to date.

I have walked 5 miles in 7.5 inch heels and I have also walked 10 miles in 6 inch heels which I also used to walk around Swansea in collecting money for charity.

During October 2014 I will be attempting to walk around for the whole month which is 31 days long wearing a pair of shiny black high heel shoes.  The heels are 4’’ block heels and also have a platform sole around 1 inch thick.

All money raised will be donated to the N.S.P.C.C

This time round I have decided to wear a full closed in shoe style instead of open style as I have no way of telling what the weather will be like during the month.

The shoes will be taking place of my normal shoes and will be my everyday shoes for the whole month.  The only time I will be wearing a different shoe is when I’m driving.

I have not got a single clue how well I will do but judging by previous high heel walks I am 90% confident of success.  My worst enemy will be blisters so getting a perfect balance of comfort, socks or knee-highs right is crucial.  For this reason I am going to use a website to make a random choice of what I wear for the day.  I then repeat the cycle until the end of the month with the exception of the 28th as i will be wearing bright green stockings as part of my witches costume.  Ankle support is also very important.  Wearing high heels is not something I do every day so it’s like a whole new experience. I was going to use tights instead of knee-highs but decided against it because tights live up to their name and are not very comfortable.  They are also too warm

The idea of wearing heels for the month was from another fund-raiser who walked around for a month barefooted so I added the twist of doing the opposite by wearing shoes for a month.  Women s high heeled shoes.  You could say i put myself in her shoes

Another problem was finding a pair of suitable shoes that would be comfortable(ish) and fit my sizes 10 feet well.  After sending a few emails I had a reply from a company called ‘’Crossdressing closet’’.  Their website is

www.crossdressingcloset.com

They have even gone out of their way to order the shoes in especially for me.  I cannot thank them enough for the effort they have put in to help me out.  I was very limited to what I could find suitable.  What I decided was the shoe had to be wide fitting making it suitable to be worn by a man.  In total I found four styles that would be suitable plus another dubious style that never had an ankle strap but I have settled on the ones in my pictures.  They are not a perfect fit and to be honest they are a little on the large size but at least they don't rub my feet.  You can see what styles I had short listed in my pictures

Originally I wanted a red pair of shoes for visual impact but the style I will be wearing was unavailable in red so black it will have to be.  I just hope that they have just a little bit of comfort.

I have also been donated £20 on the proviso that I shave my legs.  I therefore will be shaving my legs just before the start date and I will post photos when this has been done.

I originally intended to do a street collection on the last day but this has had to be changed to Tuesday 28th.  The collection day is beyond my control as its set by the local authority.  i will be dressed as a witch as this was my original intention.  i will of course still be wearing the high heels plus i will have my face painted green.

Also on the days leading up to the start of October I will be shaving my legs as I have been pledged £20 on the condition that I shave them

Anyway please give generously and help me support the unfortunate children that the N.S.P.C.C provide help and support to.  Every penny helps

Many thanks
