After entering the London Marathon for three years I have finally been successful in gaining a ballot place for the marathon. Despite not having to run for a charity, I have chosen to anyway. The charity I have chosen is Age UK - this charity helps people later in life in many different areas. For me, this charity helped my granddad a considerable amount when he lost my nan and became ill. They provided assistance with small things like form filling, equipment to help him around the house after his stroke and organised a cleaner/ironing lady (who had the easiest job as his house was always immaculate - I think he just enjoyed the company). Therefore, I would like to give something back to a charity who can have a direct impact on someone's life.

The training has begun...Wish me luck!
