BUPA Great South Run 2005 · 9 October 2005 ·

We fund life-saving research to help cancer patients everywhere.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I am running the Great South Run, a 10-mile race in Portsmouth on 9 October, in aid of the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign.

My fundraising is in the name of Alexandra Lines, a talented 22-year-old DJ and music student who died from a brain tumour caused by skin cancer earlier this year.

I wrote about Alex for BBC News Online in June and interviewed her parents about their campaign to raise awareness of melanoma. John and Jennifer Lines, from Romford in Essex, said it was their daughter's wish to raise money for cancer-related charities.

Thank you in advance for your sponsorship - I will be thinking of your support on the way round! To read more about Alex, copy and paste this link: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/essex/4072258.stm
