Story
Help for Heroes Ultramarathon Challenge.
The charity Help for Heroes (H4H) was founded in 2007 to raise urgent funds to improve the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court in Surrey.
For every fatality that is reported in the press, there approximately seven seriously injured service personnel. They need Headley Court to be the best rehabilitation centre in the UK to maximise their chances of the fullest possible recovery. Help for Heroes needs your money to help them achieve this.
In the summer of 2008 I am pitting myself against 3 of the hardest ultramarathon footraces in Europe to raise funds for the charity;

"What is H4H all about? It’s about the blokes. It’s about Derri, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, its about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It is about Ben, its about Steven and Andy and Mark, its about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes."
