Date:3rd July 2010 Venue: Uppermill Civic Hall

A brass band made up of quality players and a quality conductor for one night only playing a two hour concert in aid of Help for Heroes. The audience can request any pieces they like via the facebook page and the conductor can decide what goes in. Music to be provided by any band who wishes to loan out scores and parts for the night.

As some of you may know, my cousin Corporal James Oakland was killed in Afghanistan last year and the family has been fundraising ever since. my sister organised the assembly and postage of over 100 shoeboxes which were sent to our service men and women in time for Christmas.

I case you've been living in a hole for the last few years and haven't heard of them before, Help for Heroes is a fantastic charity which looks after our wounded servicemen and women and their families.
