We grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.

Story

When I reached the age of 60 I jumped off the tallest freestanding building in the southern hemisphere, the Sky Tower in Auckland NZ.

This year I have reached the age of 65 and Hanna is celebrating her 40th birthday so we are going to abseil  down the edge of the tallest sculpture in the UK - the ArcelorMittal Orbit at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Allan and Lucy obviously did not want to miss out on the fun so we have become TEAM GREY.

Why? We are doing it for the wonderful charity Make A Wish

Make-A-Wish UK grant magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. Granting their wish provides seriously ill children with hope for the future, strength to cope and resilience to fight their condition. They’re given quality time away from the daily realities of living with their condition and given the chance to make magical memories they can treasure forever – whatever their future may hold. We want to transform the lives of 1,000 children this year by granting their One True Wish!
