Story
Hi I'm Matt,
This year I'll be running in the London and Edinburgh marathons in order to raise funds for the International Nepal Fellowship. You can get a view of their work at www.inf.org
There is plenty of great work going on in Nepal, helping some of the poorest and most disadvantaged people in the country, but the project that has challenged me to attempt the marathon double is the work of Green Pastures Hospital.
They work with people with disabilities including disabilities caused by leprosy. Just £1000 sponsors a bed in the hospital for a year - that includes medical and surgical care, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, limbs and splints - right down to drugs, food and even the laundry. For a man who has fallen out of a tree and is now paralysed, a child with burns from a cooking stove, or a woman with dysfunctional hands from leprosy, a stay in Green Pastures can be literally life changing.
Now by my reckoning, two marathons is a mile for every week of the year. And a week in Green Pastures is just about £20.
So if I run, and you dig deep, we can try to make a difference in a few people's lives this year.
How about it? I have my running shoes on already.
Thanks for your support.

PPS: Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: International Nepal Fellowship will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
