A Massive THANK YOU to all our sponsors - We are overwhelmed with the amount we have managed to raise for Percy Hedley!

So how was it? One word - Horrific! We realised by the time we had got to the metro, let alone the start line, that the costumes were going to be seriously hard to run in.
By the Tyne Bridge, the normal long stride was replaced by a short waddle and that was where the pain set in... and stayed for the full 13.1 miles!

Tim finished in 2:12 and I was just behind in 2:22.. half an hour behind normal running pace but given the circumstances, we were happy!

Thanks again for all the sponsorship - it really did keep us going on the day!

 

WHAT'S that coming over the hill... Is it a monst....ostrich!?

On the 15th September, Tim and Andy will be running the Great North Run in aid of Percy Hedley Foundation - a fabulous charity supporting disabled children and disabled adults.

Please give as much as you can - every £1 makes a difference to us getting to the end in our attempt to be the fastest ostriches.. or quite possibly the slowest ostriches over the finish line....
