Fet-Lor Youth Club provides a range of drop in youth clubs and structured activities for young people aged 7 - 17 from across north Edinburgh. In 2017 we opened a brand new youth hub, partnering with other organisations to increase access to opportunity to over 400 young people every week.

Story

I am going to cycle on a stationary cycle for the world to see, and hope that some of you will donate a few pounds for a great cause!

As many of my friends will know, I am terrible at cycling--truly awful. I hope this is a testament to my commitment to Fet-Lor that I am willing to embarrass myself in front of young people, my colleagues, and the general public as I cycle on a stationary bike on the street to raise funds and awareness for Fet-Lor Youth Club.

Fet-Lor is a charity that works in one of the most deprived areas of Scotland to help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed. Fet-Lor's been around for nearly 90 years and its building is falling down, so I am fundraising to support the building of a new centre.

I am going to try to cycle 8 miles in 30 minutes on the day, and will probably be cycling next to an 8 year old who will do 10 miles without breaking a sweat, but it's all in the name of charity so please donate!

If I reach my fundraising target I will cycle my half hour in onesie pajamas (suggestions of colours/styles very welcome!)
