**A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED SO FAR**
If you've got this far then thank you very much for visiting my page.
One day my manager at work said fancy doing a 75 mile bike ride off road and I said yeah cool whatever without thinking about it (as you would expect from me). It then dawned upon me that I needed a bike...it then dawned upon me that I was unfit...and still am lol.
I started to regret the decision to do it but then the more I thought about it the more I thought this is a good thing to be doing and if I can make a difference to someone and at the same time shed a few pounds then it's gotta be a good thing - right!?. WIthout realising the connection from the outset, my mum has a condition with her heart and had to have an operation last year at Papworth and so I'm now really glad to be raising money for the British Heart Foundation and would really appreciate your support. Any donations no matter how little would be gratefully received by myself and the people who will be benefitting from it. Please also remember to tick the gift aid if you pay tax and are a uk resident so that each £1 you donate turns into £1.25 at no extra cost to you whatsoever.
Finally the bike ride is the London to Brighton - off road so it's going to be pretty hard and it is across the south downs which apparently is meant to be very steep and there is not just one but three massive hills/mountains to climb. I am doing this with a group of people from work. A sub group of inexperienced bikers (of which I am one) has set a 10hr target to do 75 miles including stops and passing out at the top of each mountain. I have no idea how I am going to do this or where the energy and fitness required is going to come from!!! I will be a broken man for a while after this bike ride I think!
I think that's about it, but just to say a massive THANK YOU once again for your help and support and it goes without saying that your efforts will help countless people and will help save lives.
Many thanks and best wishes to you lovely people for donating and supporting me.
