Story
My husband Glen was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine cancer in December 2014. Macmillan stepped in almost immediately to support him and the family.
In June last year I walked 26 along the South Downs Way as a challenge to myself and to raise money for the Macmillan charity. I knew it would be difficult but nothing compared to the challenge faced every day by cancer sufferers.
Having completed that walk I decided I needed a bit more of a challenge for my next fundraising walk so have opted to more than double my previous distance and walk 107km (approx 68 miles I believe) around the Isle of Wight over two days - 29 & 30 April 2017. It's probably going to be tough at times and although I try to keep relatively fit, age is creeping more and more into the equation lol!
I am really looking forward to my challenge and welcome support in any form. Anything from encouraging words to generous donation big or small.
Thank you all for reading this xx
