Story
This year I have decided to make Christmas wreaths in order to raise awareness and funds for Georgie's Genes. Georgie is my 5 year old niece who has a very rare form of Muscular Dystrophy (muscle wasting condition). It is so rare that only a handful of children in the U.K have the same diagnosis and maybe 50-100 across the whole world. This means that finding a treatment or even a cure for the disease is particularly challenging. The more awareness and funds we can raise for Muscular Dystrophy UK/Georgie's Genes, the greater chance we have of helping my very special niece, and other children like her.
Georgie is a happy, fun little girl who loves Princesses, Frozen, dancing and painting. She can walk for short distances unaided but is unable to climb stairs or get herself from sitting to standing. She has regular cardiac and respiratory checks and thankfully for now, her heart and breathing muscles remain healthy.
A few years ago I did a floristry course which made me interested in and enjoy making wreaths. I have been collecting cones, baking oranges and thinking of ideas for my wreaths for the last few months. Very excited that I now have a new house with a main front door that I can hang my own on!
If you would like a wreath, please let me know. They can also be gift wrapped if you are buying for a friend. As they are made with real holly, they will be available form Friday 8 December and I am charging £15 per wreath.
Merry Christmas!
