Hello,

My name is William Ross and I am 18 years old. My sister, Emily (20 years old), and I are filmmakers, musicians and photographers from Grantham and we set up The GET BETTER Campaign to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

I want to raise money because my friend, John, was diagnosed with cancer. He is one of my best friends and all my friends and I want to help. John is only 18 and has been diagnosed with testicular cancer. He has already had an operation and has started chemotherapy and I feel that supporting this campaign will help him in his fight to stay well. However, this campaign is not just about John. We would like to support everyone who has cancer and those people who have been affected by it.

The GET BETTER Campaign is named after a song called Get Better that we will record and perform for the cause.

We have a lot of ideas and my plan is to organise several fundraising activities/days. We are hoping to involve as many people as possible from the local and wider communities, as well as my family and friends.

Some of the activities that we plan to do are (in no particular order):

•Recording, performing and making a video of the song Get Better
•Organising and running a fun-run
•Sponsored mountain climb
•Busking event and busking
•Hair shaving
