Poor Circulation In April 2008, I set out to ride around the world carrying the ashes of my late parents, George and Barbara Thomas on the bike. They will be scattered at the home of my Brother in Boonville, California. Dad never got to visit Boonville or to meet his latest Grandchildren, ... he also never got to ride his Triumph Motorcycle down Pacific Coast Highway 1, .... these were the two regrets that Mom mentioned before her own untimely death in March 2007. Along the way, I am trying to raise money for St Teresa's Hospice in Darlington. I chose the name 'Poor Circulation' as it sums up this journey perfectly. I'm old enough to know better, yet foolish enough not to let that stop me. Around the world, 25,000 Miles and 25 Countires, No Free-Motorbike, No Support Team, No Film Crew etc. Having sold everything I own, I have a massive budget of £20 a day and have relied heavily upon the milk of human kindness along the way, .. and a certain amount of 'Blagging'. You can follow my progress, or lack of, on my Blog ( http://poorcirculation.blogspot.com/ ) . I passed the 'halfway point', .. Vladivostok, Eastern Russia back in July and I'm now in North America. 'George and Barabra' are in Boonville and no doubt missing the English rain. .... but I still hope to raise the £5,000 target for St Teresa's. My 'Jacket' is being signed by people that I meet along the way and will be given to St Teresa's to auction when my exploits have come to an end, ... assuming it dosn't get stolen in the meantime. Anybody donating to St Teresa's will has their Name carried with me on the Bike, ... go on, ... you know you want to, ... and every £1 raised will help St Teresa'a to continue providing its amazing services to our community on a free basis. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Darlington & District Hospice Movement will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you. Many thanks for your Support. Geoff (Blue88)
