Hello there :)
Well I have signed up for the Hydro Active Women's Challenge that will take place on 4th September. It is a 5k run around Sefton Park to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis.
Earlier this year friends told us that their baby had been diagnosed with CF. I had heard of CF but I wasn't sure what it was exactly so I decided to do some research.
CF is the UK's most common life-threatening, inherited disease and affects more than 7500 babies, children and young adults. It is a genetic disease that affects a number of organs in the body (especially the lungs and pancreas) by clogging them with thick, sticky mucus.
At present there is no cure for CF, but the faulty gene has been identified and doctors and scientists are working to find ways of repairing or replacing it. One of the main objectives of the CF Trust is to fund this work.
The work that the Trust does is great so I decided to get off my bottom and help raise funds and awareness.
Visit http://www.cftrust.org.uk for more information.
All sponsors received no matter how large or small would be greatly appreciated and will go to a good cause. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cystic Fibrosis Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thanks everyone see you at the finish line!
