Fundraising for Alzheimer's Society
Story
Did you know that 1 in 3 of us will suffer a form of Dementia when we hit retirement age? Neither did I. 1 in 3 !
Did you know for every £289 invested in providing research into Cancer only £11 is invested in the research of Dementia?
The investment made into Cancer is fantastic and has meant that more of us are surviving this dreadful disease. None of us survive Dementia.
So please help me to start to make a difference into the amount being invested in the research into Dementia. Please sponsor me today. As much as you can afford. It will help to make such a difference to so many.
On the 16th September 2009 my cycling challenge will begin.
Day 1 will be a journey from London to Dover and in total 95 miles of saddle sore.
Day 2 wake up in Calais, France and prepare for a further 75 miles. After Day 1 this will be hard to get back in the saddle
Day 3 we will follow the River Somme a further 70 miles
Day 4 last day and a mere 60 miles to the Eiffel Tower our finish line
Yes, 4 days, 320 miles, numb backside and I will be in Paris and thanks to you have raised £1,250 towards the research into Dementia
