I chose Macmillan as they give people with cancer everything they’ve got. As some of you will know I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer in March 2023. The words "you have cancer" were something I never expected to hear, and the shock was gigantic. The Macmillian nurses at Airedale where there at a moments notice. They answered any questions we had and helped organise appointment when my care moved to St. James'. They ring me to check in regularly and I can't explain how comforting it is to know there are strangers out there caring and supporting you, even when you think you don't need it!! 

Anyone who knows me will know that I always need a "project" and whilst I under go my first course of treatment I thought training for the marathon would keep me busy - and out of Chris' hair!!
