I have written children's books and stories for many years and still enjoy teaching children in school. It is a gift and a pleasure, encouraging children to take a journey into the magic of story making.  Many children show me their wonderful script writing and also are involved with my own books, helping me edit and improve them.

Flying Grandma is special, as she weaves the magic of Christmas on a snowy  Christmas Eve. She wears silver shoes, has silver wings and carries a silver bag with a magic silver paint brush. This brush helps paints magic dust on  the noses of animals to help them get some sleep.

She flies to a tall clock tower; from there she blows rainbow dust to help all chidren have magical dreams on Christms Eve.

Read this to your children or grandchildren...or snuggle up and  read it yourself and the magic of Christmas will begin.

Yvonne Weatherhead  has received an M.B.E. for her services to education. She  was a headteacher  from 1990 to 2014 in a primary  school which achieved outstanding status.
