Story
We all have people very close to us who have been affected by cancer. In my case, my sister Melissa battled for 20 years before losing the fight to breast cancer in 2016. In January of this year, we lost Maya, who fought lung cancer so bravely for 6 ½ years.
So come July, I will be walking 185 miles along the 8th century wonder that is Offa’s Dyke spanning the English/Welsh border, on behalf of The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre.
The Royal Marsden is an NHS hospital that sees over 55,000 people each year, and their pioneering research improves cancer treatment for patients everywhere and from all walks of life.
Funds from this walk will go towards an advanced mammography machine and a suite of state-of-the-art endoscopic equipment. These machines will ensure cancers are diagnosed earlier, thus giving patients the best chance of survival.
Thank you for supporting a cause so close to my heart,
Kind regards,
Henry Wyndham
