Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Claire and Meshell bonded over their love of the War on Waste many moons ago. Now they have come together to complete a combined effort of tackling the ever present litter problem, the environmental impact this has AND raise much needed funds for our local hospice.
St Catherine's Hospice is an amazing facility that provides care and support for people who are end of life or with a life limiting diagnosis. Both Claire and Meshell have personal links to the hospice and know the devastating impact that COVID-19 has had on fundraising. Fundraising is an essential part of running this amazing establishment that costs approximately £5.5 million per year to run.
So what are they doing I hear you asking?! The fabulous idea came from Claire. Essentially each have committed to picking up litter over various parts of Scarborough that will equal their weight. That's 69kg and 63kg respectfully. That's a total of 132kg of litter!
The page will be updated on a weekly basis and the aim is to do it within a three month time slot.
Both Claire and Meshell would be grateful for anything you can afford to donate - no matter how small!
