Dhiru aged 69, Sandip aged 55, Hiren aged 37 & Rik aged 35 will be walking from Watford General Hospital to Great Ormond Street Hospital on Friday 18th September 2020. Trying to complete the walk within 6 hours.

A better future for seriously ill children starts here. Every day, more than 600 seriously ill children and young people arrive at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) from across the UK for life-changing treatments.

Every day, the brightest minds come together to achieve pioneering medical breakthroughs that change the lives of thousands of children.

Your support means the hospital can:

·Help care for some of those patients remotely by funding technology into tele-medicine, so children and their families can report on their health directly from home.

·Make sure that, for those children and their families who still need to come in to GOSH, their experience is the best possible during these difficult times, by continuing to fund vital services. Services such as the Play team, who work with children and help build their resilience during, and beyond, this crisis; and parent accommodation so families can stay together while their child is in hospital.

·Continue to develop key hospital projects, such as the new Sight and Sound Centre, the UK's first dedicated facility for children with sight and hearing loss.

·Fund mental health and wellbeing initiatives for the hospital’s amazing staff, who have done so much during this crisis, as well as provide them with specialist equipment for critical services to work remotely.
