Story
Unbelievably it's been almost 9 years since my mum passed away due to a terminal brain tumour. In her honour I will be running/crawling 100km to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Research. I was tempted to do a marathon but I am going in straight for the 2 and a half marathons in 24 hours. You're all thinking I'm mad but I know if my mum was still here she'd likely be doing it with me! Half way through I know I will hear her telling me to pull myself together and keep on running. Somthing like "you're so dramatic Verity, you're only running, get on with it"!
I don't think any of our family will stop missing or talking about her as she was a truly incredible person who I was lucky enough to call my mum.
I hope the money I raise will be enough money to at least help a few families in the future. Going through what we went through many years ago is not something you could wish upon anyone.
Any small change you can give will be greatly appreciated and wish me luck! Let the training commence!!
Running Date - 7th September 2019
