24 Charity Football Match in Aid of Save the Children · 14 July 2016
We have seen on the news the impact of war and natural disasters on children and how they have to flee their country, moving into an overcrowed camp with little shelter, and little food and water. We want to improve their quality of life and living conditions by helping Save the Children provide tents and blankets as well as food and water to the child refugees to keep them warm and prevent them becoming malnurished.
So we decided to raise money for the children by hosting a sporting event. In this event we will be playing 30 minute football matches with five or six students playing on each side. The students will be playing for 30 minutes then coming off to rest while other students play in a rotation system. We are very grateful to our local council and our school for allowing us to host this event.
