Story
Based in the heart of Bromsgrove the Primrose Hospice plays an important role in supporting people with a life limiting illness . Living in Stoke Prior , I know one of our villagers , Kim Chandler, has been diagnosed with a secondary breast cancer that has now affected her lungs, it’s terminal and has been given an estimated life span of a couple of years . The Gals Group at the Primrose Hospice is a non clinical group and supports women in this situation by meeting monthly and in a relaxed environment they are able to undertake arts and crafts . It is clear that the women really benefit by this group and it is essential to their well being . Covid restrictions over the last 2 years has meant that now there is no funding budget for this activity group and so I really feel passionate in being able to support these women who are facing tough times ahead .
I would also like to add that there is a fantastic bunch of friends ( including Rob and me) in our Village who have come together to produce a Calendar Girls style Calendar for 2023 ! All sales of the calendar will also go to this cause and will be available from 8th October 2022 after the official launch at the Boat & Railway Pub in Stoke Prior. The shops and well known locals have all participated and so if you want to get your hands on a fantastic calendar for this great cause , then please message me. Thank you all for your support .
