One of Sam's 40

Outlaw half Ironman · 15 May 2022
Sam Perkins was diagnosed with MND at the age of just 37. Sam and his wife Emma responded to this devastating news by establishing the charity Stand Against MND in 2019, with the aim of funding MND research and supporting patients and their families in need of palliative care.50% of MND patients pass away with two years of their diagnosis and so to celebrate his 40th birthday Sam decided to recruit 40 people (or groups) who would all commit to raising £500 each over the next 12 months. Collectively, We aim to raise at least £20,000 for Stand Against MND before Sam's 41st birthday.
I will be doing a couple of challenges this year to raise money for SAM.
The first will be running a half-marathon alongside Sam as part of the Outlaw Half. See SAM's One More Tri page for more info: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/onemoretri
The next will be a dawn-til-dusk litter pick around Ringwood and the New Forest on Sunday 18th September.
