I'm Dani the PA for the Primaflow F&P Exec team. In 2016 I raced 100 miles of races for our charity partner, and in 2018 I raced 200 miles including my first two marathons.

I wondered what I could do for our new charity partner Make-a-Wish UK, and I decided that I am going to run my first ultra race, the Dukeries 40 miler on Saturday 11 May.

The trail race starts in the heart of Sherwood Forest and keeps mostly to forest trails and footpaths. The route passes charming lodges, through Cresswell Crags and skirts the Welbeck Estate. It then crosses Clumber Park and through peaceful farm land before looping back to pass by the Thoresby Estate before returning to Sherwood Forest. The 40 miler also passes The Major Oak!

The cut off time for the race is 10.5 hours and the event will have regular, well stocked and supported checkpoints.

I also had a welcome surprise in November when I won one of two of our running club places to run the Virgin London Marathon on 28 April 2019, I am over the moon and it will be a great final training run for my 40 mile race, not to mention a great event to fundraise for me.
