Story
This September 35 runners (a huge mix in ability) are raising money for the Brain Tumour Charity through The Jackie Sutherland Memorial Fund. The 35 strong army are competing in the Loch Ness Festival of Running, Baxter's 10K!
Katy works for the DWP and sixteen of her fellow DWP colleagues are taking part in the Baxter's River Ness Corporate 10K in three teams of six and would be so grateful for your support for this very deserving cause.
The DWP runners are Katy Sutherland, Lynne Ross, Chris Ross, Fraser Mills, Alan MacGillivray, Leisa Zakeri, Heather Watson, Angela Macdonald, Cheryl Rex, John-James Horsley, Joe Macrae, Natalie Young, Ian Finlayson, Carol McPherson, Graham Carle & Gavin Morton.
Jackie Sutherland, mum of our friend and colleague Katy Sutherland, fought this horrible disease for 3 years but sadly passed away at the beginning of this year. Although Jackie was not finished fighting, her body was.
In March 2017, Katy set up the memorial fund to raise the vital funds that are needed for The BTC (It is the biggest cancer killer in adults under
40 and children) and to help raise awareness of the illness.
Before going any further please open and read the following link to find out exactly why we are supporting this fund and how we have been inspired by our friend and fellow runner Katy Sutherland.

All money raised through the memorial fund goes directly to the BTC. When Katy set up the memorial fund she chose for all funds raised through the memorial fund to be used specifically to fund research into high grade brain tumours, this is what Katy lost her mum to. At present having a high grade brain tumour is a life sentence and the team want to help Katy on her mission to change this.
Other members of the 10K team include:
Sidra Malik, Shelim Uddin, Kirsty MacDonald, Aimee Macrae, Katriona Gunn along with previous colleagues from Frame Kennedy Accountancy.
