We would love to raise both money and awareness for everything that the Queen Elizabeth foundation provides for the people we support everyday. The QEF has different services across Surrey, one of them being the Independent Living Service, Dorincourt which is a residental adult home in Leatherhead.

We have 39 residents at Dorincourt with a range of disabilities who live on site here, with 24hour care provided for each one of them.
Dorincourt is unique in providing three styles of accommodation on one site:

• Residential rooms, with meals, washing and cleaning provided
• Self-contained flats where young people experience living alone, with a safety net of onsite care
• Group homes with en suite rooms, laundry, kitchen and lounge. 

We are due to move to our new state of the art building next spring so being able to fundraise for a few extra bits for our residents would be great!

Both myself and Ana-Maria are part of a small team of Activity Coordinator's here at Dorincourt in Leatherhead, supporting adults with disabilities to live as independently as possible. As activity coordinators, our roles are to provide all of our residents with a fulfilling and meaningful timetable of activities and leisure trips that enable our residents to enjoy everyday they spend here. We have a range of recreational activities here that is open for every resident to attend around the clock.

We have decided to run the 5K with two of our lovely residents, Jonathon and Ashleigh who are both very excited for the day ahead!
