Story
Our father sadly passed away on the 23rd September 2020, in a place he always
felt at home, Cyprus.
Born in Nanyuki, from particularly humble beginnings, he had a difficult
but enjoyable childhood. At the age of 18, he travelled to India to attend
university thousands of miles away from home. Of course, he missed home but he
relished the new opportunities he had been given and made the most out of them.
He lived life with a smile on his face, his boundless energy was
inspiring and pushed us to do more.
Never one to take the easy path, if it was worth doing, it was worth
doing right, was a mantra he lived by.
He lived an active life, which despite his progressing years was
something that would never stop him from achieving what he desired.
The consideration he gave to family and friends was at the forefront of
everything he did. His selfless and sociable nature endeared him to all those
who knew him.
We will continue to live the way he has taught us, and hopefully
continue to make him proud.
In 2009 our father had a stent placed in his artery after feeling unwell
one morning. He received amazing care and this technology gave him another
lease of life. Funds raised will go to the British Heart Foundation in the
ongoing fight against cardiovascular diseases. We hope this contribution can
help provide more support against future lives being lost, and prevent another
family from enduring the pain we have.
He was a big personality and a true force of nature - he will be incredibly missed by all his friends and family.
