Project Brazil · 30 January 2006

Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online to take part in the Bobby Moore Fund's Project Brazil 2006. The Bobby Moore Fund is part of Cancer Research UK which raises money for bowel cancer research.

After sharing the camp with a tarantula last year, I must be crazy to do it again this year !!!......but I gotta say it's the most rewarding and worthwhile thing I've ever done.

The project takes place at the Santo Antõnio da Parida School -in Sertão, one of the poorest and most remote villages in the beautiful Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park.

We will work to restore the two dilapidated school buildings, which support 100 children from surrounding areas, and play an important social function within the community. We will also build a football pitch in memory of Bobby Moore, for the community and children to enjoy. For more information, please visit:

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: the Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
