Story
So this year I've done different events for two charities but now I've decided to run for a charity that's very close to my heart St Wilfrids Hospice in Eastbourne. When I was 16 my dad was diagnosed with cancer and ended up at St Wilfrid's and they looked after him till the end, but they also gave time to make sure my mum and myself was always ok and coping the best we could. They even arranged for someone to come and see me at home to explain what was going on with dad and try to make it easier for me to understand.
The support the hospice gave my mum and i was fantastic during his illness till after his death.
I did the hailsham 10mile to raise money for st wilfrid's Hospice and in dads memory.
Now after speaking to mum and arranging with st wilfrid's I've decided to once again give all my sweat pain and determination to push my boundaries to limit so all my virtual races 5 milers 10k half marathon and marathon ultras and time challenges from now throughout 2022 will be for st wilfrid's Hospice eastbourne and for my dad a well liked and loved man that would do anything for anyone.
Dad you always supported everything I did popped any where you could in hailsham 10 miler so yes this will be hard and a emotional roller coaster for me but this is for you dad its been so long coming for me doing this again like nearly 30years to long so I know your looking down with bird's-eye view of my events and challenges and I know they not little 10milers no more but I just wanna give it all 110% nothing less and wanna make my family proud and I know ill get fantastic support from a great friend and coach Rusty Rusk and Eoz Rusk and my great team Eastbourne Rovers Road Runners - Members and other old team mates from RunWednesdays
Always miss you dad.

We provide specialist care for people with any progressive, advanced life-limiting illness. Referrals are made by the patient's GP or other healthcare professionals and care is delivered by a team that includes consultants in palliative medicine, specialist nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, counsellors and social workers.
We want to see a community where people talk openly about dying, live well until the end of their life and where nobody dies alone, afraid or in pain.
Facebook pays all the processing fees for you, so 100% of your donation goes directly to the charity.
