Story
Angel came into Stourbridge, Dudley and Wyre Forest Branch, in March 2021 - after being spotted by and fed by a kind lady in one of the rural areas of our patch.
Angel was a loner and liked to be fed away from all the other strays. There were quite a few cats around, but Angel stayed on her own . Another cat from
the same group ' Snow' is also now in branch care.
Angel was really thin, dirty and her long hair was very matted, her new foster mum sat for hours getting all the matts out of this cat's coat ( Angel was so
relaxed and gentle and never once hissed or snarled). After X rays we discovered that Angel had a pellet from an air gun lodged in her head/neck area, it's not too embedded and not causing Angel any pain thankfully.
Angel is booked into the vet next week to have the pellet removed - this is why we are asking for help to raise funds for this operation.
We also want to raise awareness of our campaign to change the law in air gun ownership - please sign our petition which you will find here: Cats Protection | Get Involved (e-activist.com)
There are still a few cats left in this particular area for us to help - hopefully no more will have suffered like Angel.
Any funds raised over and about our target will go towards helping other cats in our care.
