Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy
Trust is proud to be fundraising for Rainbows and Bluebell Wood Childrens’ hospices. These two hospices serve the communities of our 25 schools. We have been involved in many fundraising activities over the last year, each time we have attempted to do something different which will capture the imagination and provide a stimulus for much needed funds for both charities. As a result of this, Sean McClafferty, CEO and Jacqueline Rodden, chair of the trust will each skydive on Sunday 13 October to raise money for their respective charity; Sean
is skydiving for Rainbows.

If you sponsor Sean, this is where your money will go:

£35 could provide a hydrotherapy pool session
for one of our children and their family….

The Hydrotherapy Pool at Rainbows provides a unique opportunity
for our children and young people.  A chance to move their bodies freely
and experience different sensations.  Whether it's a physiotherapy
session, or just an opportunity to make a splash, everyone can have a great time.  Even those children who rely on a ventilator and have limited
mobility, are able to enjoy a session in our warm Hydrotherapy Pool.

£50 could provide a music therapy session….

Music therapy helps our children and young people express
themselves.  This can be so valuable for those with communication
difficulties or those who cannot put their feelings into words.  A music
therapy session will give a child or young person individual time with our
music Therapist, in our purpose built Music Therapy Room.  Instruments include pianos, drums and guitars alongside state-of-the-art electronic instruments designed to enable any child, whatever their ability, to make music.

£75 could provide an hour of family support…

Caring for a child with a life-limiting condition changes a
parent's life forever.  Exhausting, rewarding, sometimes positive,
sometimes painful - we're here for our families from when they are referred, throughout the care of their child and after bereavement.  Our expert team help families find their own ways to cope and provide emotional support when times are difficult.  £75 will help us deliver an hour of support for all the family and help us to be there when our families need us most.
