Sneha's daily walk in support of the NHS · 17 April 2020

NHS Charities Together and its members across the UK are hugely grateful for the support received from so many since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Story

NHS staff and volunteers are doing amazing work right now in caring for COVID-19 patients.Together, let's show our respect and gratitude as they work tirelessly in the face of the virus. It's our turn to make sure we look after them, to ensure they can keep doing their vital work.

I arrived in the UK in 1969 as a newly qualified young doctor from India and worked for the NHS. as a GP until retirement in 1999. I was a front line junior doctor during the influenza epidemic in the winter of 1969, when the UK was put on red alert. I am very much aware of the anxiety and hardship of all our NHS front line workers, who are risking their lives to save all of us.

I have decided to walk for an hour every day to raise funds until end of the lock down. I will continue my walk until the coronavirus pandemic situation improves. My main aim is to raise at least £2000 or more. All raised funds will be donated to NHS Charities Together.

Please donate generously to express your gratitude for our NHS.

Thank you.

STAY AT HOME, SUPPORT THE NHS, SAVE LIVES.
