The Christie at Macclesfield brings cancer care closer to the local area

Story

The Christie charity is aiming to raise £23 million for the proposed construction of a new centre in Macclesfield where Christie patients will be able to receive outstanding cancer care, closer to home.

Skye Trail Trek 2021

Good friends and keen walkers John Thorley and Mike Banks will be participating in the seven day, 128km – 79 mile, Isle of Skye Trail Trek (Skye Trail) on Saturday 3rd July 2021 to Sunday 11th July 2021 to raise funds for The Christie at Macclesfield and we cannot wait to do so.

The Skye Trail is a challenging, unofficial long distance route, it is unmarked, and many sections aren't even on paths. However, the challenge will be well worth the effort as we will experience some of the most breath-taking scenery in Scotland.

Highlights of the Skye Trail

Walking around the Quiraing, an incredible rock formation.

Walking the Trotternish Ridge, 10 summits in one day!

Views of the infamous Cuillin Ridge.

Seeing the most  Northerly point of the Isle of Skye.
