Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My name's Jake and I'm the St John Ambulance Regional Cadet of the Year for East Region this year.
I joined St John Ambulance in September 2018 and it really did completely change my life. I gained a new-found confidence, learnt so many amazing skills that give me the opportunity to go out and help people every single week, and more than anything, I met so many amazing people that very quickly became my second family, a family that really does mean the world to me!
During these such incredibly difficult times, St John Ambulance is training and providing thousands of amazing volunteers across the country to help fight this battle but sadly this does come at a cost. Currently, St John Ambulance is having to spend around £1.5 million a week to provide these vital funds but because of the current climate, we have lost our main sources of income. All events have been cancelled, which means all of our event cover shifts have been cancelled.
Our CEO has tasked us as SJA members to raise £100 each. If 30,000 of us raise £100 each that’s £3 million already. But I want to do more, I want to raise as much as I can.
St John has done so much for me and now it’s my turn to do the same for St John.
You may think donating to St John Ambulance may never have a direct impact on your life, but if you have ever been to a Football match, a village fête, a concert, a cricket match or many other types of event, the chances are St John Ambulance were there too. Our fantastic volunteers attend thousands of events every year, which, without us there devoting our time to being there to help you in your time of need, wouldn’t be able to go ahead. We do this because we love helping people and more than anything we love our organisation.
I hope I’ve been able to share my love for my organisation with you & I would be truly, truly grateful if you could donate.
