Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our fundraising page for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

On Sunday 25th March I will be running the new Landmarks 1/2 Marathon and on Sunday 22nd April I will be running my 2nd Marathon in Southampton -  So far we have raised over £29,200 for the hospital. We are hoping to break the £30k! #TeamCerysD2018

Cerys was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) at her 20 week scan, where she was immediately treated at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

HLHS means Cerys was born with half a working heart. At three days old, she had her first open heart surgery, and then another at seven weeks old. She then went on to have emergency open heart surgery on her third birthday in 2012.

Cerys is an "Extraordinary"... she deals with a lot in her everyday life - with hospital appointments, additional surgeries. She is a very brave little girl. I wanted to take part again with this challenge to say thank you to all at GOSH that continue to look after her and all the children under their care.

Thank you

Sharon W and Cerys D xxx
