Story

In 2018 Raynor Winn published The Salt Path. This is Raynor's memoir of her epic walk on the south west coast path, following the news of Moths (her husband) diagnosis with a terminal degenerative brain disease, and their bankruptcy & loss of everything. Putting one foot in front of the other, along the sea sprayed cliffs of the south west coast, they came to terms with their losses.

For many years a friend and I have talked of walking the South West Coast Path from Poole in Dorset to Minehead in Somerset via the rugged Lizard peninsula & Lands End.... 630miles/1014Km.

In December 2020 I was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, so this is a now or never walk!

A good friend pointed out to me, if it was a friend of mine that was diagnosed, I would walk it to raise funds for their cause. I hope to make it all the way round, in stages.

I am walking to raise awareness of this rare and complicated disease - MND & to raise essential funds to help support research into this as yet incurable disease.

I hope that friends and family will join me along the way. So.....here we go........
