Saoirse and Livia donating their Hair

Caitriona O Shea is raising money for Little Princess Trust
In memory of John O Shea
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Some of you may know that we sadly lost John to cancer last year. It was very hard on us all especially the children. The shock of him losing his hair had a huge impact on them and that was as an adult. Young girls going through the horror of cancer and having to feel a loss of their sense of identity dealing with hair loss really hit a cord with Saoirse who has always had such long hair it's a part of who she is.

She said to me she wanted to donate her hair for young girls who had lost their hair to cancer like daddy. I asked if she was sure. She turned to me and said yes mummy of course it will grow back this is more important. Of course she is as always correct but to hear it from a 7 year old made me well up with pride. Livia of course wanted to do it to.

I'm so proud of them both but with the gaur comes the cost of the wigs. It's £550 to make each wig and we'd love to raise enough for at least one wig. If you could donate even a little it all ads up. Or if you want to donate anything to a raffle towards fundraising that's also appreciated everything helps.

Thanks for taking the time to read this x
