UPDATE ..........
After falling of my bike last May and having to undergo revision hip surgery in December, I am really desperate to start my training for the round 2 of Cycle Milan to Venice in September. Just need the MRI scan to make sure there are no problems with ligaments etc. II will then give it my best. I am unable to walk properly without my crutch so hopefully cycling will work for me 😂 I just need to train my right leg to be the lead leg
I can’t believe it has been deferred since May 2020. September 2022 has got to happen 🤞
Due to my close friend Sarah having to defer her place until May 2020 on medical grounds. I am pleased to advise you that I have started my training after my surgery in December for this May. After signing up in June never did I think I would have to have a total hysterectomy!!! As Sarah is no longer able to complete it, I have already got my place confirmed for May 2020 so we can ride together as planned. I have now raised my target to help these three amazing charities.
After taking part in the Yorkshire Marathon in 2014 I thought it was time for a new challenge. I have decided that power walking /running will not help my hip replacement after all it will be 9 years in January since the replacement and I would like to keep my hip going for a few more years!! So cycling it is!!
I saw this Challenge on Facebook and shared it and asked if
anyone wanted to join me. I knew I was going to do it regardless. What a
challenge for my 50th year!!! Milan to Venice 355 km in 3 days.
Please help me support these extremely worthwhile charities
which are very close to my own heart. I will be accompanied on my ride with Sarah and Gill along with approximately 80 other riders.
