I am raising money for Kidney research UK as someone who has a rare kidney disease (Alports Syndrome), there is no cure.  I lost my mother in 1998 who also had the same disease and there wasn't enough research being done back then as there is now.  I believe more awareness is needed about this disease and there is much research needed into this area and also other chronic kidney diseases.
