Story
Thankyou for reading my story.
Ever since I was a young girl I have loved animals. Since 2006 I have been incredibly lucky, honoured and privileged to have worked for the RSPCA. Working on the frontline as an Inspector is incredibly tough, challenging, insightful and rewarding. I experience an array of emotions doing my job and no day is ever the same.
Rosie, the Saint Bernard in my profile photo, is one of many animals in the past eleven years who I have rescued from a life of neglect. Every year our control centre handles more than one million calls on our national cruelty and advice line and it costs approximately £123 million to keep the RSPCA's vital animal welfare work going.
I want to raise awareness of the fantastic job my colleagues and I do on a daily basis and raise money for a charity that is clearly close to my heart. What better way to do this than setting myself possibly the biggest challenge ever running 26 miles in the 2018 London Marathon (I must be CRAZY!)
