Welcome to the RM Club JustGiving fundraising page!
Due to injuries to the squad, a team of 7 Serving & Veteran Royal Marines asupported by runners & Cyclists ran the Exeter Marathon on 19th May 2019 as a training run rather than the main challenge to beat the current World Record carrying 31lbs with a rifle (40lb in total). The RAF Regiment currently hold this record since 21st Apr 1991 where they achieved a time of 4hrs 33mins 58 secs.
This challenge will be taken up after the summer at a date TBC but aiming for November 2019
Sponsorship/donations for the World Record Speedmarch would be very much appreciated. This would help The Royal Marines Club (ultimately TRMC) raise funds toward the RM Club Winter Deployments for RM's & Their Families for a Christmas Break in Norway. We are to split two ways for the The Royal Marines Charity and with Exeter CITY Community who have generously hosted the squad at their Half & Full Marathons through 2019.
