Ron Hogg Police Crime and Victims’ Commissioner for Durham and Darlington
On the 17th December my beloved husband Ron took his last breath. He had been diagnosed six months earlier with Motor Neurone Disease. A cruel, relentless disease that rendered him unable to move his arms, legs, body and eventually he was unable to breathe unaided.
Ron was such a generous man, he gave of himself, his time, his talents, his experience, his laughter and his love. Throughout his illness Ron received hundreds of wonderful letters, cards, messages and texts from people whose lives he had touched. We appreciated all of those kind words and well wishes.
We would now like to make an appeal. We asked you not to sent cards and flowers instead we would like you to make a donation, no matter how small, on the Just Giving Site, to help St Teresa’s Hospice continue giving the care to others that was so freely given to Ron.
Ron’s massive strength of spirit endured until the end! Thank you all
