Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page,

Last year my brother did this incredible walk but he went from Land's End to John o'G and raised a massive amount of money for his choice of charity the 'British Red Cross'. He inspired me to do something similar at some point and now I've made the decision that on my return from my travels in Thailand and with some time on my hands, I will do the same journey starting in John o'Groats and head South to Land's End.

The real reason behind this is to raise money for the 'Stroke Association' a cause and a charity that has personally effected my family. Loosing my Aunty Paula to this terrible disease was an extremely sad time and before this happened I couldn't of even told you what a stroke was. It's only really when something personally effects you that you become more aware or take more of an interest. My Nan & Pamps and other family members have done a tremendous amount of work in raising awareness for this charity from organized walks around Stanley Park, improving the Stroke ward within Victoria hospital to even lighting Blackpool Tower up in Purple (The Stroke Associations colours)

I'm young, fit (ish) and a yomp down the length of the country to raise some money for this charity is nothing compared to what my nan who has suffered two strokes gets up to on a daily basis!  Trust me she's a trooper!

So there you have it! I'll commence this walk in the second week of June! In the meantime I'm on the treadmill and maybe the odd beer just to take the edge off!

Follow my Blog if you so wish.
