So...you made it this far! I dare you, take the final step and make a wee little donation. If you need that final bit of encouragement, here's a little about the charity I'm running for, and why I'm so eager to do well in my third (and likely final!) London marathon.
I'm running for a great charity called Turn2Us. This UK-focused charity seeks to help educate and inform people living in poverty in the UK, to help them, help themselves. I'm a great believer that education is the key to sustainably tackling a number of the world's evils; Turn2Us prevents those below the poverty line suffering in silence, and educates them to utilise the welfare state sensibly to bring them and their families above the poverty line. EVERY penny you give goes straight to them - none of that charity sky diving malarkey where you pay for my running shoes or glucose gels! :)
And in terms of my running journey, after running the London marathon in 2012 and 2014 I'm REALLY eager to beat my PB! As most of you know, I'm travelling the world in the lead up to the marathon, which means I can dedicate the time and commitment to training runs without work getting in the way. I don't think it's going to happen, but I'm going to try my hardest to get under 3 hours 5 minutes, which would be simply the dream.
So, to sum up, THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU for even getting this far and I'd be so grateful of any donation, however small. Always one to lead by example, I'll be drip feeding myself donations over the coming months you can rest assured :)
All the best,
Rob Hiscocks
