Story

Hi everyone and welcome to our team page.

On the 28th of September 2019, 24 players are taking on a 21 hour football challenge at St Georges Park to raise money for the Down Syndrome Association.

Down Syndrome is caused by the presence of an extra 21st chromosome so this football challenge is befittingly based around the number 21.

The players will be split into 4 teams and will take part in 3 back to back 7 hour tournaments. Games will last 30 mins meaning no player will have more than 1 hour rest at a time in the 21 hour period.

The challenge will push us to our mental and physical limits and all of your help and support would be greatly appreciated.

About the charity

Children and adults with Down’s syndrome are all unique individuals with their own personalities, family backgrounds and preferences that make them who they are. We aim to create the conditions that all people with Down’s syndrome need to live full and rewarding lives.
