The Portsmouth Hospitals Charity aims to serve the patients of Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust by providing additional facilities, education and equipment to both patients and staff .The charity supports all of the wards and departments throughout the Trust, so from new borns to neurology, bones to brains, you can choose to support the particular area of the hospital that is close to your heart.

I will be raising for the childrens wards/units to get  items to make childrens stays a little more bearable and give them things to do or play with . 

I will be setting a personal challenge of spending a nice wind free day in June  to  ride  from sunrise to sunset in the saddle . Starting at 5am and cycling out to chichester and then around Hayling and  Portsmouth to get the 1st 60 miles complete i will then proceed to do laps of Portsmouth in fancy dress  and to keep going till the sun sets .  Short breaks will be permitted to take on food and drink and to change costumes. Nun , lycra wrestler and bride to be to name a few . The date of  the challenge will be weather dependent so may change if the day is horrendous and windy  

Hopefully I can encourage some of you to do a  lap or 2  with me .
